Monoblocks for fruit and vegetable cold rooms
Home » Applications » Cold rooms for fruit and vegetables
Fruit and vegetables are sensitive to temperature and humidity. AiCool monoblocks create a stable microclimate in the cold room that extends freshness, limits weight loss and protects nutritional value through long weeks of storage.
A microclimate that extends freshness
After harvest, plant products keep „breathing” and losing water. Air that is too dry causes wilting and weight loss, while air that is too humid encourages mould. AiCool monoblocks with precise temperature control and gentle air circulation help maintain optimal conditions for different product groups.
Gentle, even airflow prevents the surface of fruit and vegetables from drying out and stops local freezing. This means fewer losses and better commercial quality.
Stability that reduces losses
Temperature swings shorten the shelf life of produce and speed up ripening. Thanks to the monobloc's stable operation and fast response to load changes (for example after a delivery of fresh goods), the cold room holds the set conditions without sudden fluctuations.
Eco-friendly R290 refrigerant and energy-efficient components mean long-term storage does not bring high electricity bills.
Solutions for every scale
From small cold rooms on farms and in shops to large warehouses in fruit and vegetable wholesalers — we will match the capacity and mounting type (wall or ceiling) to the volume and stock rotation.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ — Cold rooms for fruit and vegetables
What temperature suits fruit and vegetables?
It depends on the variety – most vegetables and fruit are stored in the chilled range (roughly 0–8°C). The MT versions of our monoblocs cover this range. We will advise on the settings for your specific range of produce.
Does the monobloc control humidity?
The evaporator design and gentle air circulation limit drying out of the goods. For demanding applications we will select a system with the right operating characteristics.
Is it suitable for a large storage facility?
Yes, we offer high cooling capacity models and ceiling mounting that takes up no storage space. We will match the solution to the volume of your warehouse.
How do I select a model for my cold room?
Use the configurator — enter the volume and conditions and it will point to a specific model. You can also write to us for an individual calculation.
